Completing an extremely successful amateur career, Blake Baggett made the transition to pro racing in 2010. Bagggett went on to an exciting rookie year in professional Supercross, coming in 11th at the season opener. Gaining momentum, he finished fifth at at the next race in Atlanta. At the Dallas stop, Baggett raced to the top of the podium, scoring the first win of his professional career. Quickly proving that he was adapting to the pro ranks, Baggett finished fourth overall at the 2010 High Point National. Baggett’s quick rise was soon temporarily halted when he broke his left humerus at Budds Creek.

Securing a ride for 2011 in the 250 class with premier racing team Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki, Baggett delivered on his potential, earning 5 overall outdoor wins and finishing 3rd overall points for the championship. Blake was also picked again for the 2011 Motocross of Nations Team USA. At the end of the 2011 season, Baggett was tied for 28th on the All-Time AMA Pro Motocross 250 Class Wins List with 5 Wins.

Again with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki for 2012, Blake would have a rough East Coast Supercross series. Blake put his head down and prepared himself for the 2012 outdoor series. He took the overall win at round one (Hangtown) and would keep the points lead and the red plate throughout the entire series. Blake would officially earn his first AMA National Championship at the concluding round at Lake Elsinore. For a second consecutive year, Blake was selected to represent Team USA at the Motocross of Nations held in Lommel, Belgium, where Team USA would finish third, respectively.

  2. hey guys ive been watching the 250 motocross championship…. i just wanted to say that this season is BLAKE BAGGETTS season

  3. Blake;

    Wanted to let you know that you’ve been my favorite rider to watch for a couple of years, because of your ability to light the afterburners at the 15 minute mark. You’re cranking out lap times FOUR SECONDS a lap faster than anyone else…really!!? Awesome, man. Plus, I love to watch your lines you come up with to make passes; they’re really cool. It’s obvious that you have the field COVERED when it comes to speed; they simply can’t keep your pace.

    I think the other guys know it, too. When they asked Tomac what he was thinking when he saw that you crashed at Millville, he said “I have a chance to win this”, which indicates to me that he knows he (or anyone else) has NO chance of winning if you keep the bike on two wheels.

    Props to you for hucking it over Larocco’s Leap at Redbud, too. I couldn’t believe it when you did it on the first lap of the first moto, in traffic.

  4. I’m your fan, your competition a lot of emotion to the public, with many attitudes overtaking assito always loves the motocross by ESPN, I have a Agrale 27.5 and really inspired me in you and congratulations Blake this season is his. I’m rooting for you. I’m from Brazil!

  5. Blake this season is yours,you have done so good so far, props for you on all your wins. Mitch must be happy because I know all your fans are. Just keep that red plate for the rest of the season, keep training hard, don’t mess up, and bring a championship home.

  6. Happy Monday! Hope this finds you recovering from a great ride at Washougal this past weekend. I just wanted to drop you guys a quick note to say to your Dad and Ryan thanks so much for being so nice to the fans. My son Hayden and I were watching on the hill this weekend and we got to talk to your Dad before the first moto. He was so very nice. My son Hayden races in the 50cc class and had done so the day before so the whole experience so far had been just awesome for him. While the race was on he stood close to your family and cheered you on, running back and forth from their spot to horsepower hill. They were very gracious with him standing there with them. I just wanted to say Thank you. We are huge fans of the sport, and we love racing. This was our first outdoor national experience and we would have to say that it is awesome. I just love how it brings even the biggest pros and thier families right into the mix with the fans and the amateur riders, it just goes to show that this sport is one big extended family. Thank you again for being so gracious.
    Cheers! Here’s to keeping the points lead!
