Baggett Charges to 9th at Glendale SX Race Report
The teams came to town as round four of the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship, took over the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ, this past Saturday night. As fans enjoyed Bubba Burgers from the grill at the team tent, rider Blake Baggett rode through the field for a top ten ride.

After a successful week of testing, Blake Baggett came into Glendale prepared and ready to fight for a podium. His day started off on the right foot as he figured out the fast line around the track to post the 5th fastest time of the day. Blake’s heat race didn’t fare as well, as he was caught up in a first-turn pileup. Blake put his head down, pulled a tear-off from his Scott Prospect goggles and from dead last slice through the field into the top ten. He finished in 8th and transfer to the main event.
The main event once again saw Blake having to ride from the back of the pack as he was pinched off at the start and rounded the first turn buried deep in the field. He never let off the gas, charging hard through the field to finish the night in 9th place. After four rounds, Blake holds down 8th place in championship points.
“I feel good about the weekend’s results,” said Baggett. “With the bad starts and coming from the back, the tracks have been very tough to pass in the main events. Track position early is key in the main and that’s one thing we are going to work on. We’ll regroup this week and come into Oakland
ready.”
